[CNMO Technology News] On August 21, the whistleblower Digital Chat Station revealed that Sony's LYT-600 sensor will replace OmniVision's OV64B and become the choice of many manufacturers to build periscope telephoto lenses. Brands including vivo, OPPO, Honor, OnePlus and realme will all make arrangements, including flagship models equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chip and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 mobile platform.

LYT-600 is an entry-level product of Sony's LYTIA series, with a sensor size of 1/1.953 inches, 50 million pixels, and supports full-pixel autofocus and other functions. In terms of positioning, LYT-600 is lower than LYT-900, LYT-800 and LYT-700. According to realme mobile phone news, LYT-600 will be launched globally on realme 13 Pro.

OV64B is an image sensor released by OmniVision in 2020. It has a resolution of 64 megapixels and a sensor size of 1/2 inch. It can shoot 8K 30P video, supports triple-exposure staggered HDR in up to 16-megapixel video mode, and supports 2x2 microlens phase detection autofocus. Currently, the flagship models of Huawei, Xiaomi and other manufacturers all use OV64B sensors to create periscope telephoto lenses.

It is understood that nine domestic mobile phone brands including Huawei, vivo, OPPO, Xiaomi, iQOO, Honor and OnePlus will release their flagship models in October and November, and many new configurations and technologies will be launched at that time.
