Previously, some netizens reported on the Southeast Net's "Direct to Pingshan—Fujian Provincial Party Committee Leaders Message Board" that the allowances for class teachers in public schools in Xianyou County will be stopped from January 2023, and the subsidies for rural teachers will be stopped from July 2023.

On July 10, the Xianyou County Education Bureau responded to this situation on the message board: "As of now, our county's education system has not issued the 2023 class teacher funds and the rural teacher subsidies for the second half of 2023. Due to the financial difficulties of our county, the class teacher and rural teacher subsidy funds are not included in the scope of the 'three guarantees', so they have not yet been issued.
