"The World Power Battery Conference is the first national power battery industry event. It was held in Sichuan in 2022 and has been successfully held for two years. A total of more than 100 major projects have been signed with an agreed investment of over 200 billion yuan. A series of new technologies and new products have been released, which has effectively gathered industry consensus, promoted technological iteration, deepened open cooperation, promoted industrial agglomeration, and assisted green development. It has made positive contributions to the high-quality development of power batteries and new energy vehicles." At the meeting, Yang Xin, Deputy Secretary-General of the Sichuan Provincial People's Government, introduced the overall arrangements and preparations for the 2024 World Power Battery Conference.
According to Yang Xin, on the basis of fully summarizing the experience of the previous two years, the conference adheres to the principle of "green, professional and simple", holds the conference frugally and pragmatically, improves quality and reduces costs, and innovates, so that this year's conference can continue to inject new strong impetus into the high-quality development of the power battery industry, and enable every company and every guest participating in the conference to have tangible gains. With the guidance and support of national ministries and commissions such as the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Transport, the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the National Energy Administration, and the joint efforts of all sectors of society, the preparations for the conference are basically ready.
In terms of event settings, the conference will be themed "New Quality Power, Create a Green Future" and will hold an opening ceremony, 6 special meetings, 2 online live interviews, and achievement displays. The special meetings mainly involve advanced battery forward-looking technologies, new energy storage, new energy industry chain supply chain, power battery regulations and standards, etc. The exhibition activities will focus on the application scenarios of cutting-edge technologies such as power tools, low-altitude economy, humanoid robots, and electric ships. The conference will focus on signing a number of major projects to further pool resources and build a strong chain. At the same time, the conference will invite the UAE to serve as the guest of honor and hold the opening ceremony of the guest of honor national pavilion to jointly build an international cooperation platform for the development of the power battery industry.
