The 2024 "MaTi Cup" Competition Award Ceremony was successfully held

On August 17, 2024, the highly anticipated 2024 "MaTi Cup" National College Student Programming Competition Award Ceremony was successfully held in Beijing. The award ceremony was hosted by the National Association for Computer Education in Colleges and Universities, co-organized by Baidu, Tsinghua University Press, the Association's Vocational Education Branch, and DCAC, and supported by QuantumBit, Software Guide, and AIGC Youth College Student Employment and Entrepreneurship Promotion Action Executive Committee.

This competition is also a professional competition of the "AIGC Youth College Students Employment and Entrepreneurship Promotion Action". The action is supported by the Ministry of Education and co-organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and Xinhua News Agency. It mainly takes the AIGC Innovation and Creative Works Collection Competition as a starting point, links domestic artificial intelligence professional competitions, and gathers various advantageous resources such as talents, funds, capital, and industrial resources through the competition platform to further explore AIGC technology research and development and commercial application, better enable thousands of industries to develop new quality productivity, and create more internships, employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for young college students.



Opening remarks and keynote speeches

The 2024 "MaTi Cup" Competition Award Ceremony was fortunate to invite many experts from the organizers, sponsors and participating institutions to the scene to give speeches and special reports.



Professor He Yanxiang (left), honorary chairman of the research association, honorary director of the Ma Ti Cup Competition, and professor of Wuhan University, Lu Xianhe, vice president of Tsinghua University Press (center), and Li Xuanya, director of Baidu's University Cooperation Department (right), delivered speeches at the event.



Professor Zhao Chunyu of China University of Metrology gave a special report on "Exploration of the Portrait of Innovative Talent Cultivation in Colleges and Universities Based on Computer Competitions", and shared in depth from three aspects: innovative talent cultivation based on competitions, innovative talent cultivation based on computer competitions, and analysis of computer competition elements. He also pointed out that there are currently five types of programming competitions in the whitelist: ICPC, Ladder Competition, Blue Bridge Cup, Baidu Star, and Code Cup, and gave good wishes to the Code Cup Competition.



Professor Huang Lan of Jilin University, head of the MaTi Cup expert group, gave a comprehensive summary of this year's competition. As an algorithm design competition hosted by the National Association of Computer Education in Colleges and Universities, the "MaTi Cup" competition has always attracted the attention of college students. This year's competition attracted 10,315 students from 1,708 schools to sign up for the competition. After fierce competition, 1,052 outstanding gold, silver and bronze medal winners stood out.

In addition, many experts from colleges and universities and team coaches shared in depth the school’s talent training model, the training methods of using competition to promote teaching, and combining competition with teaching.
