Harbin, August 20 (China News Service) (Gu Xue) On August 20, the opening ceremony of the 19th National College Students Intelligent Automobile Competition Finals was held at Harbin Engineering University. 236 universities and 550 teams across the country will compete in 12 competition groups.

The National College Student Intelligent Automobile Competition is sponsored by the Chinese Automation Society and has been approved by the Ministry of Education to be included in the National Teaching Quality and Teaching Reform Project Funding Project. The Chinese Higher Education Society has listed it as one of the 19 most valuable college student subject competitions in all disciplines.
After the competition in 9 regions across the country in July, this competition has played a good role in promoting the students' knowledge integration and practical skills. In the end, 236 universities and 550 teams were selected from 615 universities and 3,165 teams across the country to enter the finals.
There are 12 competition categories in the final, covering knowledge from multiple disciplines including automatic control, artificial intelligence, pattern recognition, sensor technology, automotive electronics, electrical, computer, machinery, energy, etc.
On the afternoon of the 20th, each team began the intense pre-race car model debugging. From the 21st to the 22nd, the 19th National College Student Intelligent Car Competition will officially begin. (End)
