Together with the Municipal Public Transport Group, we have created the first staggered shared parking lot in the city, and now there are four stations providing 115 shared parking spaces. Last year, a total of 2,579 staggered shared parking spaces were added.
"This year, we plan to add no less than 5,000 parking spaces and 2,500 staggered shared parking spaces. So far, more than 60% of the work has been completed," said Han He, deputy director of the district's Urban Management Committee (Transportation Committee).
This year's plan
1
Additional parking resources are planned to be added around the scenic area
Currently, there are 10 public parking lots from Xiangquan Roundabout to Xiangshan Park, providing 1,500 parking spaces. However, a large number of tourists have nowhere to park their private cars, causing serious congestion in the surrounding areas.
This year, the District Urban Management Committee (Transportation Committee) and the Haidian Traffic Detachment jointly planned to build a temporary parking lot on the northwest side of Xiangquan Roundabout. The proposed new parking lot is expected to provide more than 900 parking spaces and have multiple entrances and exits, providing easy access to the South Gate of the North District, the North Gate of the South District, and the East Gate of the National Botanical Garden.
2
Plan to add parking resources to serve residential areas
This year, there are four parking lots planned for construction in Yongfeng and Cuihu clusters in the northern part of Haidian. Combined with the parking needs of surrounding residential areas, it is expected to build "one three-dimensional + three flat" parking lots, adding more than 700 parking spaces in total, contributing to the construction of the northern region.
3
Improving environmental order in key areas
It is understood that an underground parking lot is currently under construction in Dazhongsi Sports Park, which is expected to add 510 parking spaces and is expected to be completed and put into use in 2025.
