IT Home noted that the PICO 4 Ultra adopts a rear-mounted battery design, with an overall weight of 276 grams on the rear side and 304 grams on the front body, achieving a good balance between the front and back. In addition, the new handle adopts a light ring-free design.

PICO 4 Ultra is equipped with three types of precision sensors designed for MR mixed reality, including four environmental tracking cameras, a binocular 32-megapixel color perspective camera, and an iToF depth perception camera. It supports 8-megapixel stereo high-definition color perspective, has a 72 Hz refresh rate, and can achieve low-distortion perspective. It supports real-time environmental perception and object category judgment.

PICO 4 Ultra is equipped with the second-generation Snapdragon XR2 platform and 12GB of memory. Its GPU performance is 2.5 times higher than that of PICO 4, and its AI performance is 8 times higher.

PICO 4 Ultra is equipped with a binocular 4K+ (4320×2160) super-visual screen, supports a 90Hz refresh rate, and has a rendering resolution of 1920*1920 that is closer to native, which is an improvement of more than 62% compared to PICO 4.

PICO 4 Ultra supports a new multi-task window operation function - panoramic screen workbench. The multi-task window is presented in a 360° ring, supporting up to 20 applications to be opened at the same time, and the maximum window size is 280 inches. It can realize human-computer interaction with handles, gestures, and keyboard and mouse (pushed in the fourth quarter of this year), and is fully compatible with the Android application ecosystem. The background of this panoramic screen workbench can choose an immersive background or a perspective mode, and can also realize the custom generation of AIGC virtual scenes.

PICO 4 Ultra supports mobile phone mirroring, which allows you to display and operate your phone on the headset. It is compatible with both iPhone and Android phones. PICO 4 Ultra also supports desktop interconnection compatible with Windows/Mac dual desktops, and can also display multiple desktops simultaneously.

PICO 4 Ultra supports high-definition, low-latency game streaming, supports 6K ultra-clear gaming experience, Wi-Fi 7 wireless streaming transmission latency as low as 5ms, 1000Mbps wired streaming bitrate, and AV1 codec.

PICO 4 Ultra supports spatial videos and is compatible with spatial videos and photos shot by Apple devices. It supports editing spatial videos and publishing them to TikTok with one click.

PICO also announced the opening of the app store, which will be gradually completed in the second half of 2024. PICO also cooperated with Canon to promote the OGC/PGC/UGC content ecology of spatial video MR. In addition, PICO video can also realize the function of spatial video special effects, and also supports 2D to 3D content generation and uploading on the Douyin platform.

PICO also launched the PICO somatosensory tracker, which is priced at 399 yuan (two), weighs only 27g, and has a battery life of 25 hours. It has the ability to automatically calibrate when powered on, and is equipped with a multi-modal fusion tracking solution to achieve high-precision and low-latency full-body motion capture. PICO also introduced a number of specific application scenarios in fitness, games, and social XR applications that support the PICO somatosensory tracker. Currently, more than 20 games support the PICO somatosensory tracker.

The PICO 4 Ultra is priced at 4,299 yuan (12GB+256GB). Pre-orders will start on August 20 and it will officially go on sale at 10:00 on September 2. The somatosensory tracker will be given away first.

PICO also launched the PICO 4 Ultra Enterprise Edition, priced at 7,499 yuan, which will be officially available on September 3.
