From August 15 to 17, chief experts and young forces from the edible fungi industry technology system of the four central provinces of Henan, Hebei, Shandong and Shanxi gathered in Zhengzhou, Henan, to participate in the Youth Exchange Meeting on Innovation and Development of the Edible Fungi Industry in the Four Central Provinces and the Second Youth Forum on the Edible Fungi Industry in Henan Province to discuss cutting-edge industry technologies and discuss major plans for industrial development.
The conference was hosted by Henan Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Henan Society of Agricultural Sciences, and co-organized by the Edible Fungi Research Institute of Henan Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Henan Daily Rural Edition, Zhoukou Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the industrial technology systems of four provinces.
A signing ceremony for scientific and technological cooperation was held at the conference. The Edible Fungi Research Institute of Henan Academy of Agricultural Sciences signed contracts with Henan Jinhai Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Luoyang Wilderness Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd., and Huixian Jitun Smart Agriculture Development Co., Ltd., and Huanghuai University signed a contract with Henan Tianzhong Yilong Food Co., Ltd.
"The company sells 30 million shiitake mushroom sticks annually. The agreement signed between the two parties will accelerate the research and development and application of new shiitake mushroom varieties, and promote the transformation of our province's shiitake mushroom industry to an intensive, standardized, four-season production model, thereby driving local industrial development and promoting farmers' income growth." said Liu Sihai, general manager of Henan Jinhai Biotechnology Co., Ltd.
With the theme of promoting the innovative development of the industry through science and technology and cultivating and strengthening the youth power of edible fungi, the elite forces and young scientists from the edible fungi industry technology system of various provinces brought 24 wonderful theme academic reports, sharing the "strengths" of their respective professional fields and exchanging new technologies and methods in the fields of breeding, cultivation, processing, equipment research and development, etc. The audience said that they had gained a lot and the applause continued.
