On August 18, the finals of the 2024 Zhejiang Province Sixth Mini Basketball League (China Mini Basketball Series·Zhejiang) came to a successful conclusion in Wenzhou.

The competition is guided by the Chinese Basketball Association and the Chinese Secondary School Students Sports Association; co-directed by Shenzhen Basketball Sports (Beijing) Co., Ltd.; supported by the Zhejiang Sports Federation and the Zhejiang School Sports Association; and hosted by the Zhejiang Basketball Association.

The Zhejiang Provincial Little Basketball League has been held for six years since its establishment in 2019. Over the past six years, more than 60,000 young athletes have participated in the event. This year's provincial little basketball league has 69 competition areas across the province, attracting nearly 15,000 athletes to participate. The finals lasted for three days, with a total of 160 teams and more than 900 athletes from various competition areas participating.

On the court, the young basketball players actively fought for the ball, cooperated well, and showed superb skills and good mental outlook. This competition is not only a grand event of sports competition, but also a platform for young people to communicate. During the competition, the athletes can not only show their excellent skills on the court, but also communicate and learn from each other and make new friends.

Wang Zhigang, vice chairman and secretary general of the Zhejiang Basketball Association, said in an interview with reporters: "Through the holding of the Little Basketball League, we hope that children can learn some sports skills and cultivate sportsmanship from an early age; in addition, the Little Basketball League will become a cradle for us to cultivate basketball talents and more sports seedlings will emerge from it; we also hope that such activities can promote the overall development of the basketball industry in our province."

At the same time, he said that the Zhejiang Basketball Association will continue to be committed to the promotion and development of youth basketball, and provide a better competition platform and development opportunities for young basketball enthusiasts. At the same time, he also hopes that through such competitions, more outstanding basketball players can be selected to contribute to the development of Zhejiang basketball.
