250 AI new ideas! Baidu hackathon competition "specializes" in intelligent agents

On August 19, Baidu's official WeChat account showed that at the hackathon held internally by Baidu, contestants proposed 256 AI ideas, of which about 70% were related to intelligent agents. This year, Baidu has been accelerating the development of intelligent agents, launching the Baidu Wenxin Intelligent Agent Platform and making the Wenxin Big Model 4.0 available for free on the platform.
It is reported that the hackathon is Baidu's internal technology innovation competition for all employees. This year, the theme is intelligent bodies and AI native applications, with six major innovation tracks, including creation, entertainment, efficiency tools, information acquisition, industry intelligence, and exploration of the future. Among the participating ideas this year, more than 60 intelligent body ideas entered the market display link of the "semi-finals", including the "Memory Help" cognitive training assistant, the "Click! Everyone is a photographer" AI camera, the AI cultural and creative printer, the sports event viewing AI assistant, the "Pray to the Electronic Gods to Accumulate Cyber Merits" wish consultant, the "Attack Guide" interview assistant, the "Capibara is very worried about you" electronic pet and other creative ideas.

Taking the "Memory Helper" cognitive training assistant that won the first prize as an example, the purpose of this intelligent body is to provide the elderly with access to professional, cheap and accessible exclusive AI cognitive trainers that can provide targeted training for the elderly and provide them with a more friendly AI assistant that can complete training at home.
According to the data, Hackathon is a long-term innovation competition held within Baidu. It has been held for 12 years and 28 seasons, generating more than 8,000 creative ideas and more than 300 patents. Over the years, Hackathon has not only been an internal competition, but also an incubator for many Baidu technology product innovations, such as the smart translator, scenic spot heat map, Nightingale (smart customer service), and the latest free AI lawyer "Faxingbao", all of which were born from this competition.
According to various sources, Baidu is accelerating the implementation and ecology of intelligent agents. In April this year, Baidu launched the Baidu Wenxin Intelligent Agent Platform. Soon after, it also opened the Wenxin Big Model 4.0 on the platform for free, which further benefited developers. So far, the platform has gathered 200,000 developers and 63,000 companies have settled in. Not long ago, Baidu founder, chairman and CEO Robin Li said in a speech that intelligent agents are the most promising direction of AI applications. This is the simplest AI application to develop. In the future, there will be millions of intelligent agents, forming a huge intelligent agent ecology.
