Liao Guoqiong has been appointed as the president of Jiangxi Tourism and Commerce Vocational College.

Jiangxi Tourism and Commerce Vocational College is a public full-time general college of higher learning in tourism and commerce established in April 2002 with the approval of the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government. Its predecessors were Jiangxi Commercial School (founded in 1964), Jiangxi Tourism School (established in 1987), and Jiangxi Nuclear Industry Technical School (established in 1964).

The school is the only high-level vocational college in Jiangxi Province that specializes in cultivating applied talents in tourism and commerce, a project construction unit of Jiangxi Province's A-level high-level vocational colleges, a demonstration vocational college in Jiangxi Province, a ministerial-level demonstration vocational college of the All-China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives, a college jointly built by the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government and the All-China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives, and one of the first colleges in the province to cultivate applied technical undergraduate talents.
