According to industry insider Nate the Hate, Xbox's first-party masterpiece "Indiana Jones: The Ancient Circle" will be released on the PS5 platform in 2025. He pointed out that the game will be released in December this year as a limited-time console exclusive, and will be available on PC and Xbox Series X|S.

He wrote on X: "After the limited exclusivity window expires, Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle is scheduled to be released on PS5 in the first half of 2025."

Last week, it was reported that Microsoft was preparing to announce plans to bring another major Xbox exclusive game to the PS5. At the time, foreign media Windows Central said that the rumored news was likely to be "Indiana Jones: The Ancient Circle".

Indiana Jones: The Ancient Circle was announced in January 2021 and was created by Machine Games, the Swedish developer behind the Wolfenstein series. Although it was originally planned to be launched on multiple console platforms, it was later confirmed that the game would be exclusive to Xbox and PC and would be launched on Game Pass first.

In 2021, Microsoft acquired Bethesda's parent company ZeniMax Media for US$7.5 billion. After that, Disney, the owner of the "Indiana Jones" IP, and Bethesda renegotiated the terms of the agreement.

“We didn’t think it was going to be too exclusive because Xbox is still one of the largest markets for games,” Disney gaming chief Sean Shoptaw told Axios last year. “We thought it could still reach a broad base of users, and it made sense at the time from a financial and strategic perspective.”
