The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered Mod named "H2M" was recently stopped from being released due to Activision's request. This Mod was originally able to bring the multiplayer content of Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2 to the later released Modern Warfare Remastered, which was highly anticipated by many old players and even led to a surge in sales of Modern Warfare Remastered in North America. The news that Activision banned its release has caused dissatisfaction among many players.

The "founder" of the mod, a developer named Watchful Wolf, recently released a video explaining why Activision asked him to ban the release. As far as he knows, Activision issued the ban for completely "selfish" and somewhat ridiculous reasons.

In the video, Watchful Wolf explained that the team received a ban the day before the release of the "H2M" mod. He explained the reasons given by Activision as he understood them: "Basically, due to the increasing popularity of 'H2M' and its close release to Black Ops 6, they don't want 'H2M' to interfere with the potential sales of Black Ops 6."

He goes on to explain that Activision will clamp down on them no matter what they use to build the mod because the company doesn't want anything to interfere with sales of Black Ops 6 when it launches on October 25th.

However, even if Activision ordered the mod to be banned and the team succumbed to the ban, someone has already "leaked" it online, so it is actually still playable - as long as you know where to find it.
