According to channel information, Qualcomm will release the new Snapdragon 8 Gen4 processor at the Snapdragon Technology Summit on October 21. This chip is built using TSMC's 3nm process, uses Qualcomm's self-developed Oryon CPU, and uses a new 2+6 design, consisting of 2 super cores and 6 large cores.

Sources claim that Snapdragon 8Gen4 will be available in two versions when it is first launched, namely the standard version SM8750 and the high-performance version SM8750P. It is expected that the high-performance version will have a higher super-core frequency, so the extreme performance will be stronger.

In fact, Qualcomm has already used this approach in the previous generations of Snapdragon 8 platforms. It will provide a standard version and a higher-frequency Samsung for Galaxy customized version, and will launch a high-frequency leading version in the middle of the year. It is not surprising that this approach is continued in Snapdragon 8Gen4.

It is reported that the Xiaomi Mi 15 series will be the first model to launch Snapdragon 8Gen4, but only the SM8750 standard version will be launched first. The SM8750P is expected to be launched first in the Galaxy S25 series.
