IT Home reported on August 19 that according to "LatePost", Horizon Robotics, an autonomous driving computing solutions company, has formed an embodied intelligence team of about 50 people, headed by Yu Yinan, vice president of Horizon Robotics and former president of the software platform product line.

It is reported that Yu Yinan joined Horizon Robotics in 2015.One of the earliest founding team of Horizon Robotics, formerly a scientist at Baidu Deep Learning Institute, is a Baidu-Tsinghua joint PhD student, and his mentor is Horizon Robotics founder and CEO Yu Kai.

The team is led by Su Zhizhong, the former head of Horizon Robotics’ Intelligent Driving Perception R&D Department. He joined Horizon Robotics in 2017 and was one of the initial members of Baidu’s Institute of Deep Learning (IDL). Yu Yinan and Su Zhizhong are at the same level and report to Yu Kai.

IT Home learned from public information that embodied intelligence is a development field of artificial intelligence, which refers to the ability of an intelligent system or machine to interact with the environment in real time through perception and interaction. It can be simply understood as robots of various forms

In July, it was reported that Horizon Robotics, an autonomous driving computing solutions company, reorganized its intelligent driving algorithm team.We will invest more energy in the research and development of high-end intelligent drivingBefore the adjustment, Horizon's intelligent driving algorithm team belonged to the "software platform product line", with three teams working on the low-level solution Mono, the mid-level solution Pilot, and the high-level solution SuperDrive.

It is worth mentioning thatYu Yinan was previously the head of the low-level and mid-level teams. After being transferred to lead the new team, he is no longer responsible for the intelligent driving business.

Public data shows that Horizon Robotics has received multiple investments since its establishment, including from SAIC, GAC, Great Wall, BYD, FAW, Intel, Yunfeng Fund, 5Y Capital, Sequoia Capital, Hillhouse, Blackstone, SK Hynix, CATL, Luxshare Precision, Xingyu Technology, Will Semiconductor, Sunny Optical and other shareholders.Cumulative financing exceeds US$3.4 billion (currently approximately RMB 24.363 billion)
