According to Sanyan Technology, today, a "Statement on Yishide and Ideal Auto" released on a social platform stated that it will terminate all relations with Ideal Auto from now on, but the statement is confusing.

The statement pointed out that before signing a formal cooperation agreement with Ideal Auto, no related publicity could be published. The original intention was to compromise and deceive the company into writing an apology letter and immediately removing the related publicity.

However, Ideal Auto used the apology letter to maliciously slander Yi Shide and strongly condemn the unethical behavior of Ideal Auto and Li Xiang himself.

The statement stated that it would stop all business activities with Ideal Auto, cooperate with Huawei in the field of smart car machines, and ban Ideal and its partners from cooperating in the application of AI in the health field.

Secondly, Yishide will regularly publish Li Xiang's physical data trained and identified based on open Internet data. If Li Xiang does not intervene, he will die in the near future.

Finally, Yishide said it would withdraw its apology letter and resolve the issue through formal legal means.

It is worth noting that the statement is dated "August 20, 2024", which is suspected to be a typo.

So, what exactly happened that caused this company to launch a "personal attack" directly against Li Xiang?

In fact, Ideal Auto’s legal department had clarified the matter in July this year, and Yishide also sincerely apologized for it at that time.

On July 12 this year, the legal department of Ideal Auto issued a statement saying that Yishide (Beijing) Medical Technology Co., Ltd. spread rumors through multiple self-media, claiming that it would carry out business cooperation with Ideal Auto in the field of AI medical care.

The legal department of Ideal Auto stated that the promotion had no factual basis and was a rumor and deception to consumers.

After a stern warning, Yishide has deleted all infringing content and issued a written apology letter to Ideal Auto.

According to the apology letter, Yishide admitted that without the explicit authorization of Ideal Auto, Yishide used the "Ideal Auto" brand trademark and photos with Li Xiang for marketing activities and published content that was inconsistent with the facts.

Yishide promised to immediately stop the infringing behavior, delete the inappropriate content involved, and take remedial measures including withdrawing the article from the relevant platform as soon as possible, ensuring that future marketing activities are legal and compliant, and proactively contacting Ideal to apologize.

So what exactly does the company Yishide do?

According to Qichacha, Yishide (Beijing) Medical Technology Co., Ltd. was established on November 2, 2022 with a registered capital of 100,000 yuan and its legal representative is Zhou Shixin. The company's major shareholder is a natural person, Zhou Zihan, who holds 100% of the shares; Zhou Shixin serves as executive director and Zhou Zihan as supervisor.

The company profile is as follows: Yishide (Beijing) Medical Technology Co., Ltd. is a world-leading artificial intelligence diagnosis provider. Users can upload photos and videos on their mobile phones to check for comprehensive systemic diseases. It has developed more than 1,700 disease recognitions with an accuracy rate of more than 90%. Users in 33 countries around the world are using AI cloud diagnosis and screening services.

Moreover, in a promotional article, Yishide claimed that its research team's AI technology has covered the top 50 tumor types with the highest mortality rate in humans, including pancreatic cancer, esophageal cancer, gastric cancer, lung cancer, liver cancer, gallbladder cancer, breast cancer, cervical cancer, thyroid cancer, colorectal cancer, brain tumor, nasopharyngeal cancer, kidney tumor, adrenal tumor, bone tumor, bone marrow tumor, etc. And through AI algorithms, it can provide doctors with accurate diagnosis results and personalized treatment plans.

Yishide even claims that its AI research team is composed of hundreds of experts, scholars and researchers from home and abroad, and the team members come from world-renowned universities such as Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Stanford University.

In short, it is to screen for cancer through photos taken with a mobile phone. However, according to the user guide released by Yishide, the entire detection process is relatively cumbersome. Users not only need to take more than a dozen personal photos and videos, but also need to inform the individual and their parents' past medical history in detail before a test report can be issued.

At the same time, the company has also applied to register trademarks such as "Baobao", "Kuai Kuai Baobao" and "Yangchedi".

In addition to the personal attacks on Li Xiang in the statement, Yishide’s short video account also released a highly targeted so-called "AI cloud diagnosis report" a few days ago. Some netizens commented that "you will get a lawyer's letter if you talk nonsense like this." The company also replied, "Quickly notify Ideal Auto's legal department and file a lawsuit."

Overall, responding in such an extreme manner is likely to constitute slander and personal attack on Li Xiang, and Ideal Auto’s legal department should take action afterwards.

What do industry insiders think of this company?

Sanyan Technology consulted an industry insider in the medical industry, who believed that the company had been registered for a short time and had low registered capital, so it should not have the funds to develop AI products, and it should not have any relevant medical product qualifications.

"It has been less than two years since its establishment. It is not easy to obtain a Class III certificate for any tumor detection and screening from the National Medical Products Administration, let alone so many tumor screenings. And it takes time to conduct clinical trials on the products."

The person said that two years is not enough time for the establishment, and a Class III certificate requires at least tens of millions of dollars in investment in research and development.

The Medical AI Category III Certificate refers to a certification issued by the National Medical Products Administration for medical artificial intelligence (AI) products.

If the diagnostic software provides diagnostic suggestions through its algorithm and only has auxiliary diagnostic functions but does not directly give diagnostic conclusions, the relevant products in the diagnostic catalog are managed as Class II medical devices. If the diagnostic software automatically identifies the lesion site through its algorithm and provides clear diagnostic prompts, its risk level is relatively high, and the relevant products in the diagnostic catalog are managed as Class III medical devices. "Class II AI" can be applied directly at the provincial drug administration, while "Class III AI" must be approved by the National Drug Administration and must undergo clinical trials.

The National Medical Products Administration began issuing Class III certificates for medical AI in 2020. It is reported that Class III medical devices must go through three major steps before they can be commercialized: testing by authorized agencies of the drug administration, registration and approval by the drug administration, and pricing by the medical insurance bureau. It will take nearly three to four years to complete all three steps.

Yishide currently provides AI diagnosis and has commercialized it, so it should apply for a Class III license. Sanyan Technology checked the website of the Food and Drug Administration and found that Yishide did not have a relevant medical registration certificate.

The information can be found by checking other companies' second and third category certificates.

So what does this company do? You can judge for yourself.
