Recently, Hefei police found that some netizens posted a picture and video on a short video platform. The content was submitted by a student from a certain college. The submitter claimed that "my boyfriend got another girl pregnant and asked me for money for an abortion. I don't have money to give him now, so he asked me to go out and sell myself. Should I agree?" The video sparked heated discussions among netizens, with hundreds of thousands of views, and was spread widely.
Strike a Heavy Punch
The police immediately intervened in the investigation and found that the operator of the account was Li, a student at a certain college. He specifically accepted submissions from students at the college and then moved the submissions to the short video platform for publication. As the account has always been unpopular and has few fans, Li conspired with another student at the college, Hu, to fabricate the fake script in order to gain traffic and attention. Little do they know that this behavior has violated relevant laws and regulations, constituted the spread of false information and disrupted public order.
After investigation by the police in accordance with the law, Li and Hu confessed to their illegal acts. At present, the police have imposed administrative penalties on the two.
