However, AFP said that the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not disclose the specific date of Modi's visit to Ukraine. The report also said that Modi visited Russia a few weeks ago, which aroused dissatisfaction from the Ukrainian side.

According to a report by Russia Today (RT) on July 26, citing Indian media, Modi plans to visit Ukraine in August. RT reported that although Modi had met with Ukrainian President Zelensky during the G7 summits held in Italy and Japan, Modi has not visited Kiev since the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

According to the Indian Economic Times website and other media reports, Modi visited Russia from July 8 to 9 and held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. During the visit, Zelensky expressed his dissatisfaction with Modi's visit on social media, saying that "this is extremely disappointing and a devastating blow to peace efforts." On the 15th of the same month, the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Ukrainian ambassador to India to protest Zelensky's remarks on Modi's visit to Russia.
