21st Century Business Herald trainee reporter Lin Qiutong reports from Beijing
On August 17, the "2024 Asset Management Annual Conference" hosted by "21st Century Business Herald" and co-organized by Shanghai Pudong Development Bank was grandly held in Shanghai.
Jin Ximo, product director of Ant Group's wealth business group, said at the theme roundtable forum that Ant has always insisted on being customer-centric and taking the buyer's perspective, hoping to empower technology to provide users with professional, content-based and intelligent products and services. The Ant Wealth platform strives to bring everyone a professional attitude and warm companionship.
When talking about the "public fund fee reform", Jin Ximo said: "As the upstream and downstream of public fund companies and sales agencies, we share the costs with them. We think this is not a bad thing."
She pointed out that, on the one hand, the reduction of fees is essentially a process of giving benefits to investors, which is very consistent with Ant's investment philosophy of giving benefits to consumers. Since its establishment, Ant Fund has done a lot of things to give benefits to customers. Ant started with sales, and initially implemented a 10% discount on all fund subscription fees. In the first half of this year, the profit of all subscription fees reached 1.8 billion.
Jin Ximo said: "We will clearly tell customers in all user trading interfaces to choose shares with lower fees based on their holding period. This year, Ant Fund launched the Ant Savings Channel, and we clearly display the fees and details of the concessions we make to all consumer investors to customers."
Judging from the results, the practice of Ant Wealth Platform has not affected the overall number of users and scale growth. She said: "After the customers make a profit, they trust our platform more and trust today's wealth management business more, so this is a positive cycle." On the other hand, "giving benefits to consumers" also forces the entire industry to consider these issues more from the perspective of buyers and push companies forward. Although there is a short-term reduction in revenue, the entire industry will gain more healthy growth in the long run only by providing better products and services and helping users hold for a long time.
