"In the past, workers needed to inspect and maintain multiple belt protections, transmission motors, reducers, etc. Now the long-distance belt conveyor has a simple structure and only two electric rollers. The maintenance workload has been greatly reduced and the maintenance quality has been greatly improved." said Li Wenchao, Party Branch Secretary of the Seventh Excavation Team of the Second Mine.
Following the successful pilot test of Huayang Group’s first long-distance belt conveyor for the excavation working face in Xinjing Company, long-distance belt conveyors have recently been put into operation in the first and second mines, effectively promoting safe production in coal mines, reducing staff, improving efficiency, and saving energy and reducing consumption.
High production and high efficiency are the only way to achieve industrial transformation and upgrading and high-quality development. The Huayang Group Staff Representative Conference proposed that the new tunnel should achieve "one belt for one tunnel". Since the beginning of this year, Wang Yongge, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Group, has made detailed arrangements for this work many times. The Mechanical and Electrical Power Department of Huayang Group has taken quick action and actively promoted it in various mines. On the one hand, it is designed and customized according to the long-distance transport belt during the design stage; on the other hand, the currently used belt conveyor is transformed, the middle drive is added, and it is transformed into a long-distance belt conveyor. So far, 13 long-distance belt conveyors have been put into operation in 5 mines, with remarkable results.
Take a mine as an example. The 151307 high-extraction tunnel is 1,700 meters long. The tunnel is undulating and the operating conditions are relatively complex. It originally required two 2×55-kilowatt belt conveyors, but now only one 2×90-kilowatt long-distance belt conveyor is needed to meet production needs.
The number of equipment has been reduced, but the effect is surprisingly good. Jia Junfeng, deputy director of the production connection department of the first mine, did some calculations - each belt conveyor requires a post worker, three shifts a day, and after two belt conveyors are reduced to one, 90 attendances can be reduced throughout the month, achieving the goal of reducing staff and improving efficiency; with fewer equipment, there are naturally fewer safety risk points and potential accident points, and the difficulty and workload of overhaul and maintenance are greatly reduced; compared with two belt conveyors, the number of coal drop points and transfer points has been reduced, and there is no need to consider the problem of coal stacking. There are also automatic tensioning devices, water cooling devices and hydraulic brake devices to ensure the safe and stable operation of the equipment and effectively improve the safety factor; the original total power of the two belt conveyors was 220 kilowatts, and now the power of one long-distance belt conveyor is 180 kilowatts, and it has a frequency conversion function. When the amount of gangue is small or the belt is overhauled or the belt is open, it can run at a low frequency, and the energy consumption is lower.
Achieving high production and high efficiency in coal mines is inseparable from the help of equipment. How can we maximize the role of equipment and use it for our own benefit, so as to enable safe and efficient production in coal mines? This is a topic for the entire group and also a common goal.
"We have equipped the long-distance belt conveyor with a self-moving tail, which can be moved by remote control. This is safer, more time-saving and labor-saving than using a tunnel boring machine to assist in traction. The accompanying belt storage bin has also been upgraded from storing 50 meters of belt to 120 meters of belt. Adding one belt can meet the needs of the working face for three days." said Qi Huixing, director of the production connection department of the Second Mine.

"One belt for one lane" is one of the effective measures taken by Huayang Group to implement the spirit of the plenary session, relying on equipment to do a good job in energy consumption and personnel "subtraction" and safety and efficiency "addition", and to promote high production, high progress, and high efficiency in coal mines in the "one plus one minus" process.
It is understood that Huayang Group will implement the "one belt for one lane" transportation method in all excavation working faces. Zhu Shuangqiang, deputy director of the group's electromechanical power department, said that they will make this work a daily supervision and inspection focus, increase business guidance, not only promote "one belt for one lane" in excavation working faces, but also promote the use of 1.2-meter and 1.4-meter long-distance belt conveyors in fully mechanized mining working faces with conditions, so that "one belt for one lane" will become the standard configuration in the group's coal mine production and excavation operations, laying a solid foundation for Huayang Group's high production and high import of coal.
