China News Service, Toronto, August 18 (Reporter Yu Ruidong) Chinatown in central Toronto, Canada ushered in the 24th Chinatown Fun Day event on the 17th, attracting tourists from all over the world with two consecutive days of stage performances and various delicacies.
Organized by the Toronto Chinatown Business Improvement District, the annual Chinatown Fun Day has become one of the brand events of Toronto Chinatown. This year's theme is "Dragons Travel the World and Shine Brightly".

The organizers set up two stages in Chinatown to showcase wonderful performances from different ethnic groups, such as lion dance, singing and dancing, band performances, magic, Kung Fu demonstrations, Teochew drums, as well as Hawaiian and Bollywood performances. Hong Kong singer, film and television star Lu Shan was also invited to hold a concert on the first night of the fun day, singing many classic songs.
The food area is filled with the smell of fireworks, and dozens of food stalls with different flavors attract tourists to stop.

During the fun day, the Toronto Central Chinatown Business Improvement Area also organized free mural guided tours to explain the history of Chinatown and Chinese culture to visitors.
Representatives from local political, business and police circles attended the opening ceremony. The chairman of the Toronto Central Chinatown Business Improvement District, Ray P. Johnson, said that the organizer's purpose is to actively promote economic activities in Chinatown. This year is the Year of the Dragon, an auspicious year. Holding a fun day event can attract tourists from all walks of life to Chinatown to spend happily and promote the business of small and medium-sized enterprises in the area.
Founded in 2007, the Toronto Central Chinatown Business Improvement District is a non-profit community organization established by commercial building owners and tenants to promote business development in the district.
