According to Fast Technology on August 19, on a social platform, a blogger revealed the names of the four color schemes of iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, namely titanium white, titanium black, titanium gold and titanium gray. This means that the entire iPhone 16 Pro series is equipped with a titanium metal middle frame as standard.
Previously, the iPhone 15 Pro series took the lead in using a titanium metal middle frame, replacing stainless steel, and Apple used a brushed surface treatment, which has a significantly lower reflectivity than the finish of earlier models.
Meanwhile, the new brushed texture makes scratches on the device less noticeable, and it also enhances resistance to fingerprints, making them easier to wipe off.
What’s more, titanium alloy is stronger than stainless steel but lighter than stainless steel, making the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max about 10% lighter than previous models.
As an iterative upgrade, Apple continues to use titanium material on the 16 Pro series, and the sizes of both models have been upgraded.
Among them, the iPhone 16 Pro has been upgraded to 6.3 inches, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max has been upgraded to 6.9 inches. Both are equipped with a 5x periscope telephoto camera as standard.
The new product will be officially launched in September.
