The report said that the commander of the detachment said: "After a quick battle, the Marines of the 810th Brigade wiped out a Ukrainian mobile group, who were driving a convoy of armored vehicles from NATO countries in Kursk Oblast. Some American and Canadian armored vehicles and a US-made 'Jaguar' heavy armored vehicle were destroyed. Some armored vehicles from Western countries became trophies of the Marines. In the battle, more than 20 soldiers of the Ukrainian Army's 82nd Independent Airborne Assault Brigade were killed."
The report also stated that the Russian commander said that in addition to military equipment, Russian marines also seized documents of Ukrainian soldiers, including passports, military ID cards, training certificates, etc. In addition, personal weapons, ammunition, equipment (bulletproof vests and gas masks), communication equipment and electronic warfare equipment produced by NATO countries were also seized.
The report mentioned that the Russian Ministry of Defense stated on August 16 that the Russian army had killed as many as 2,860 Ukrainian soldiers and destroyed 41 tanks in the Kursk direction.
