China News Service, Beijing, August 18 (Reporter Ying Ni) As one of the activities of the 2024 Haidian District National Reading Season, the "Writing the Grand Canal" calligraphy and painting exhibition opened recently at the Haidian Library (North Branch).
In order to let more children have a comprehensive understanding of the cultural connotations of Beijing, Wenquan Town in Haidian District and Beijing Jiuzhou Yanmo Education Technology Co., Ltd. have gathered well-known educators, experts and scholars in the art world, calligraphy extracurricular education units in the capital and across the country, as well as young people who love reading and art, and jointly launched a series of traditional cultural activities with writing as the starting point. Through the 2024 Haidian District National Reading Season series of activities, they will personally experience the intangible cultural heritage skills and the spirit of China's excellent traditional culture hidden therein.

Duan Qingfeng, the general planner of the event, said that the calligraphy and painting exhibition with the theme of "One Axis and Three Belts" (Note: Beijing Central Axis, Grand Canal Cultural Belt, Great Wall Cultural Belt, Xishan Yongding River Cultural Belt) has diverse styles, inherits classics, adheres to the right path and innovates, and is a concentrated display of the capital's resource advantages and cultural advantages. The event uses rich and diverse forms to show the image of "country", "capital" and "home" in the hearts of young people. The unique and magnificent cultural concept of "One Axis and Three Belts" is engraved in the mind, poured into the fingertips, and retained in the growth process of young people.
