Recently, the H2M team of the multiplayer module of "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" tweeted that they had received a ban from Activision and were asked to immediately terminate the relevant project.

"It's really sad that a group of dedicated people spent over a year recreating classic Call of Duty gameplay for everyone for free," said one volunteer developer. "Despite selling thousands of copies for Activision, they made zero money, and after people spent money to buy the game, these mods were shut down. I'm sorry about that."

This news caused Call of Duty fans to flock to the Steam page of Modern Warfare Remastered to express their dissatisfaction by bombarding it with negative reviews. Many players said that they bought the game on Steam specifically to experience the H2M module. Currently, the recent Steam reviews of the game are overwhelmingly negative, with a positive rate of only 5%.
