Creative Assembly mentioned during its "What's Next" livestream in June that there would be more substantial content between DLC updates for Total War: WARHAMMER 3. The upcoming 5.2 update is the manifestation of that promise.

Although the dwarves have just had an update, players have reported that it encourages expansion gameplay too much. The new feature "Deep Layers" will change this, allowing the dwarves to develop downwards, build gates to enter the deep layers, and obtain various bonuses, including guild foundries that increase income and research speed, and blockade fortress strategies that ignore siege consumption and increase defense materials and ammunition. However, these bonuses will weaken as the number of settlements increases, encouraging players to keep the size of the country small.

"Special Locations" are mini-features available to all factions that will appear randomly in settlements during the campaign, bringing various effects.

These new additions enrich the gaming experience and make you want to try out factions that you had previously ignored or rested on.
