Feicheng is the base camp for the industrialization of Prussian Blue-based sodium-ion batteries. Shandong Zero One Four Advanced Materials Co., Ltd., led by overseas returnee Dr. Song Jie, has a full-stack top R&D and industrialization team, focusing on the R&D, manufacturing and application of core materials and cells for sodium-ion batteries. The original Prussian Blue-based sodium-ion battery materials and cell preparation technology have completely independent intellectual property rights, filling the gap in related fields in China. Its products are characterized by low cost, high safety, good high and low temperature performance and long service life. They are widely used in energy storage, automotive start-stop power supplies, low-speed trams, two-wheeled trams and other fields. Compared with lithium-ion batteries, the low-temperature charging speed is increased by 50% and the production cost is reduced by 40%.
The Feicheng 10GWh Prussian Blue sodium-ion battery production project started this time has a planned total investment of 4 billion yuan. It will build a world-leading commercial Prussian Blue sodium-ion battery production line, which can achieve integrated green manufacturing from core materials to battery cells. It has the most advanced process, the lowest cost and the highest efficiency among the three sodium-ion battery technology routes in the world. After the project is completed, the annual output of Prussian Blue sodium-ion batteries will reach 10GWh, with an annual output value of 6 billion yuan.
In recent years, Feicheng City has relied on its basic advantages in lithium battery new materials, played the role of the city's state-owned enterprises as a new force in industrial development, and built the Blue Technology Incubator, the pilot base for new battery electrode materials, and the lithium battery new materials industrial park, the Blue Technology Industrial Park, and the Chemical Industrial Park with high standards, forming a linkage supporting platform from industrial incubation, small-scale trials, pilot tests to industrialization, and building a full-cycle, closed-loop industrial chain of "lithium ore processing-lithium battery sodium battery raw materials-positive and negative electrode materials-battery component assembly-lithium battery recycling and comprehensive utilization". Lithium and sodium batteries go hand in hand and become an important growth pole for Feicheng to help Tai'an City build a "Taishan Lithium Valley" worth hundreds of billions of yuan. In 2023, the city's new battery electrode material industry cluster was successfully selected as a national small and medium-sized enterprise characteristic industry cluster, and Feicheng was also identified as a pilot city for Shandong Province's energy green and low-carbon transformation.
