Recently, the country issued the "Opinions on Accelerating the Comprehensive Green Transformation of Economic and Social Development", which clearly proposed to promote the construction of carbon dioxide capture, utilization and storage projects.
The first offshore carbon dioxide recovery project in South China is put into operation
On August 16, the reporter learned from CNOOC that the first offshore carbon dioxide recovery and utilization project in South China was completed and put into operation in Zhuhai, Guangdong. The project can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 200,000 tons per year
In Zhuhai, Guangdong, the first food-grade carbon dioxide recycling project based on production facilities was officially put into operation. The project collects carbon dioxide from seven offshore gas fields through this 200,000-ton liquid carbon dioxide recycling device and produces carbon dioxide products with a purity of more than 99.98%.
He Qichang, Director of Gaolan Terminal, CNOOC Deepwater Development Co., Ltd.:This device recovers, purifies, liquefies and reuses carbon dioxide from natural gas. The resulting liquid carbon dioxide product can be made into dry ice, fire extinguishers and other devices, achieving energy conservation and emission reduction while achieving a double harvest of economic benefits.
It is estimated that after the implementation of the project, carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced by an average of 200,000 tons per year, which is equivalent to planting nearly 10 million trees each year and can reduce a large amount of greenhouse gas emissions. At present, the annual output of natural gas at Gaolan Terminal has remained at 6 billion cubic meters.squareThe total natural gas supplyovertake68 billion cubic meters, accounting for 1/5 of the total natural gas consumption in Guangdong Province over the years.
Carbon dioxide capture, utilization and storage project
Carbon capture, utilization and storage technology, in simple terms,It is to collect carbon dioxide emitted from fossil energy production, industry and even daily life and store it on the seabed or underground.
Nowadays, carbon dioxide can be used for many things, such as making dry ice and fire extinguishing agents, injecting carbon dioxide into rocks during oil extraction to squeeze out the oil that is difficult to extract, and making methanol and many other products.
This technology is currently an important technical path for achieving large-scale emission reductions in steel, cement, coal-fired power plants, etc. Statistics show that as of now, my country has more than 100 carbon dioxide capture, utilization and storage demonstration projects in operation or under planning and construction.
my country accelerates carbon capture, utilization and storage projects
In Shaanxi, the world's first CO2 flooding and storage pilot project for tight gas reservoirs, the Yan'an Gas Field Tight Gas Reservoir CO2 Flooding and Storage Pilot Project, has recently successfully injected more than 20,000 tons of CO2. The largest coal-fired power project in China, the State Energy Group Taizhou Power Generation Co., Ltd., uses CO2 capture, utilization and storage technology. It can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 500,000 tons per year
In recent years, my country's carbon dioxide capture, utilization and storage technology has developed rapidly. According to incomplete statistics, more than 50 projects have been put into operation, accounting for more than half of the total. These projects have an annual carbon dioxide capture capacity of 4 million tons and an annual injection capacity of 2 million tons.
Promoting green and low-carbon development: Looking at the green Chinese economy
now,One quarter of the world's new green area comes from China, the national average air quality days accounted for 82.8%. New installed capacity of renewable energy power generation exceeded half of the world's total, and the total power generation of industrial hydropower, nuclear power, wind power, and solar power above designated size increased by 13.4% year-on-year, accounting for an increased proportion of industrial power generation above designated size. Looking at the economy in the first half of this year, "green" has become the key word for development.
The layout of the green energy supply system is accelerating. As of the end of June this year, my country's installed capacity of renewable energy power generation has exceeded 1.65 billion kilowatts, accounting for 53.8%, and the installed capacity of wind power and photovoltaic power generation has exceeded that of coal-fired power.
Not only green energy, but also green and low-carbon production methods are constantly being enriched. At present, various regions have introduced a number of industrial green transformation policies in accordance with local conditions. In Inner Mongolia, Shandong and other places, a transition mechanism from dual control of energy consumption to dual control of carbon emissions has been introduced to accurately reduce carbon emissions; in Qinghai, Gansu and other places, the green and low-carbon development of digital infrastructure has been actively promoted. my country has built the world's largest and most complete new energy industry chain; resource utilization efficiency continues to improve.
The relevant market mechanisms for green and low-carbon development are also being improved. This year, the Guiding Opinions on Further Strengthening Financial Support for Green and Low-Carbon Development was issued, and the national voluntary greenhouse gas emission reduction trading market was launched, which continued to enhance the guiding, incentive and regulatory role of the market.
In addition, a green and low-carbon lifestyle is also accelerating. In July this year, the monthly retail sales of new energy passenger cars in my country exceeded those of traditional fuel passenger cars for the first time, achieving a historic breakthrough. Since July, the number of bicycles in tourist hotspots has increased by more than 40% compared with the previous month, and cycling to explore cities has become a new way for people to travel this summer.
Zhang Lupeng, Deputy Director of the Department of Environmental Protection and Resources of the National Development and Reform Commission:Next, we will promote consumption transformation, increase government procurement of green products, promote the establishment of a product carbon footprint management system, etc. Through these measures, the concept of green development will be integrated into all aspects of the entire process of economic and social development.
