Damian Lillard: "I can still play like I did two or three years ago..."
Damian Lillard believes he can still perform at a superstar level after a disappointing season.
Bucks star Damian Lillard may have just had a down season, but he's not ready to slow down just yet. In a conversation with Jim Ozarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Lillard insisted he's still the same player he was a few years ago with the Trail Blazers.
"I'm not a player whose body is declining. I live a clean and healthy life, so I can do it. I can do what I did two or three years ago. I can do it now, and I'm still in my prime and can lead a team to win a championship," Lillard said.
"I think when the trade happened, everybody was like, 'OK, Milwaukee's going to win,' but when it doesn't go the way they want it to go, or the way they expected it to go, and I don't look like the guy I was in Portland, they're like, 'Oh, what happened to Dami? Why isn't Dami playing like he did?'
