China Youth Daily Client News (China Youth Daily, China Youth Network reporter Wang Haihan Wang Lei) From August 11 to 15, the 18th "Siemens Cup" China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge National Finals was held in Huzhou, Zhejiang. Participants from the School of Electrical Engineering (School of Integrated Circuits), School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, School of Artificial Intelligence and other colleges of Anhui University of Technology won the 2024 College Team Championship with 5 national special prizes, 2 first prizes and 2 second prizes. It is also the first college team champion to win the championship in this event.
The "Siemens Cup" China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge is the largest and highest-level A-level academic competition in China's intelligent manufacturing field. This preliminary round had more than 5,800 teams from 756 universities across the country, with nearly 25,000 teachers and students participating. A total of 598 teams stood out and advanced to the national finals. In this national finals, a total of 50 special prizes, 145 first prizes, and 276 second prizes were awarded in the undergraduate group. A total of 71 teams from Anhui University of Technology participated in the preliminary round, and finally 9 teams entered the national finals, ranking first in the country in terms of the number of qualified teams.
The 9 teams were distributed in 8 events: information and networking, intelligent equipment design and digital twin manufacturing, process industry automation, discrete industry automation (logic algorithm), discrete industry automation (engineering practice), discrete industry motion control, lean manufacturing system design and optimization, and free exploration. Among them, the intelligent equipment design and digital twin manufacturing direction won the individual championship for the first time, the information and networking direction won the individual championship for the first time, and 2 female students won the Best Female Engineer Award. This is the 11th consecutive year that students from the school have won national awards in this event.
In recent years, Anhui University of Technology has attached great importance to subject and skill competitions.
