Beijing Business Daily (Reporter Liu Yang) On August 16, the State Administration for Market Regulation issued an announcement showing that Volvo (China) Investment Co., Ltd. has filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the "Regulations on the Management of Recall of Defective Automobile Products" and the "Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Management of Recall of Defective Automobile Products". From now on, it will recall some imported 2021 FH tractors produced between February 28 and June 17 this year, totaling 59 vehicles.
For the vehicles covered by this recall, the maximum applied torque adjustment coefficient of the dynamic steering motor is set too low. When the driver does not hold the steering wheel while driving the vehicle, the lane keeping assist system will not issue a warning. This may cause the driver to over-trust the system and lose attention from road conditions, increasing the risk of accidents and posing a safety hazard.
Volvo (China) Investment Co., Ltd. will upgrade the dynamic steering motor control unit software for vehicles within the recall scope free of charge through authorized dealers to eliminate safety hazards.
