From August 11th to August 15th, Kuaishou Charity's "Enlightenment of the Future School" Science and Technology Summer Camp was held. This summer camp is the second study and research activity of Kuaishou Charity's "Enlightenment of the Future School" in 2024, leading children from two primary schools in Fangshan County, Luliang City, Shanxi Province, on a study and research trip to Beijing.
As a special extension of Kuaishou's charity project "Enlightenment of the Future School", the summer camp activities allow children to play and learn something through the itinerary of history and culture, information literacy improvement, scientific knowledge, safety education, patriotic education, etc., and immerse themselves in Beijing's profound history and culture and the wonderful charm of the scientific world, providing a sustainable learning and communication platform for the healthy growth of children.
Build dreams with technology and promote growth with innovation
The Jicui Central Primary School in Fangshan County and the Mingde Primary School in Gedong, which participated in this summer camp, are two rural boarding primary schools for left-behind children in difficult situations. For the children in the schools, it is not easy to realize the desire to "go out". Kuaishou Charity helps the children go to Beijing through the "Qizhi Future School" summer camp, carry out interesting and beneficial research and study activities, stimulate the children's enthusiasm for learning, and plant the seeds of future ideals and goals.

At the opening ceremony of the summer camp, the children presented their prepared paintings, "Beijing in My Heart", to their older classmates on Kuaishou and explained the meaning of the paintings.
In the first class of the camp, volunteers from Kuaishou Charity shared their own growth experiences and professional knowledge, explained the basic knowledge and application scenarios of programming to the children in an easy-to-understand way, and helped the children write their first line of code themselves, allowing the children to develop a strong interest and feel the charm of technology changing lives.
Song Tingting, vice president of Kuaishou Technology and chairman of the Beijing Kuaishou Charity Foundation, said that she hopes that through this summer camp activity, children will be trained to dare to explore new things, stimulate their curiosity and thirst for knowledge, and tap into their unlimited potential in their growth, thereby helping children strengthen their beliefs and enlighten their future.
When books shine into reality, measure dreams with your feet
In this summer camp, Kuaishou Charity led the children to study in the Palace Museum, understand the mortise and tenon structure of buildings, appreciate the exquisiteness of ancient architectural art, and feel the profoundness of Chinese culture in precious cultural relics; in the Science and Technology Museum, the children explored and learned about aerospace knowledge, and understood the scientific principles and technical applications of space walking, airflow shooting, etc. Climbing the Juyongguan Great Wall, they fulfilled the heroic ambition of "not being a hero without visiting the Great Wall", and tempered the children's willpower. At the Spanish Cultural Exchange Center, they learned flamenco art and Spanish, which opened a window for the children to see the world, broadened their international horizons, and promoted multicultural exchanges.
The healthy growth of adolescents and children is always the focus of Kuaishou. At Beijing Institute of Technology, the children visited the school history museum and the microwave laboratory to learn about the most cutting-edge scientific and technological achievements and experience the strong academic atmosphere of Beijing's higher education institutions. In conjunction with Beijing Chaoyue Youth Social Work Office, a unique "safety education class" was held to solve the problems of students in adolescence. Through vivid and interesting knowledge popularization and practical experience, children can correctly understand the changes in their bodies and minds, so that they can face these changes generously and confidently, and help them establish correct cognitive concepts.
On the closing day of the camp, the children went to Tiananmen Square to participate in the solemn flag-raising ceremony. "The scene in the textbook is finally seen in reality, and I feel very proud and proud in my heart," the children said. When the national anthem sounded, the children saluted the national flag in unison, and engraved the scene of the five-star red flag fluttering in the wind in their hearts.
Young people are the future of the country and need our careful care to thrive. It is understood that as of the beginning of 2024, Kuaishou's charity "Enlightenment Future School" project has supported more than 500 schools in remote areas across the country through assistance in music, sports, information technology and other aspects, covering 700,000 children and young people.
