Qingdao's first automobile repairman vocational skills competition kicks off

In order to further promote the spirit of model workers and craftsmen, improve the professional ability and quality of Qingdao's maintenance industry practitioners, strengthen talent reserves, and promote high-quality development of the industry, on August 16, the 17th Qingdao Vocational Skills Competition and the first automobile maintenance worker competition preliminaries were held at Qingdao Transportation Vocational School. Nearly 100 automobile maintenance workers from the city took the stage one by one to compete and show their industry skills.
The 17th Qingdao Vocational Skills Competition was jointly organized by 10 departments including the Organization Department of the Qingdao Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Propaganda Department of the Qingdao Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, and the Qingdao Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. The automobile repairman competition was applied for and hosted by the Qingdao Municipal Transportation Bureau, and hosted by the Qingdao Transportation Development Center, Qingdao Transportation Vocational School, and Qingdao Automobile Industry Federation. It is a municipal-level first-class skills competition and the first municipal-level motor vehicle maintenance industry skills competition in Qingdao. In the early stage, the Municipal Transportation Development Center took the initiative to strengthen the industry service awareness, fully discussed the competition requirements, completed the technical document review and application, and point-to-point mobilization and deployment, which set off a good trend of advocating skills in the city's motor vehicle maintenance industry.
The competition was held in the form of an individual competition for employees. The competition was based on the technical requirements of the automobile maintenance project selected by the national competition, and referred to the technical standards of the second national vocational skills competition, combined with the national vocational standard level 3 (senior worker) to set questions. Among them, the preliminary project was the disassembly and inspection of the disc brake, which innovatively integrated the theoretical assessment into the practical assessment. The contestants at the competition site were full of energy and showed their skills. After a day of fierce competition, the top 20 contestants in the preliminary round entered the final of the event.
Through this competition, the Municipal Transportation Center will further deepen the construction of the talent team in the motor vehicle maintenance industry, continuously improve the skill level of practitioners in the motor vehicle maintenance industry, and consolidate the soft power and hard support for the high-quality development of Qingdao's motor vehicle maintenance industry.
