The mid-term results of airlines have been released one after another, and foreign exchange losses are one of the important reasons for the losses of many airlines. At present, reducing costs and increasing efficiency has become the top priority for many airlines.

In recent years, due to factors such as geopolitical changes and exchange rate fluctuations, some large airlines have suffered continued losses. In contrast, some low-cost airlines have performed relatively well due to their "price-performance ratio". For example, Spring Airlines and Juneyao Airlines have continued to make profits in 2023 and mid-year this year.

The impact of exchange losses is obvious

According to the mid-term performance forecasts disclosed by A-share airlines this year, the companies expected to make profits include Spring Airlines, Juneyao Airlines, and China Express Airlines. Among them, Spring Airlines expects the company's net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies to be 1.29 billion yuan to 1.34 billion yuan. Compared with the net profit of 840 million yuan in the same period last year, it will increase by 450 million yuan to 500 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 54% to 60%; Juneyao Airlines expects a profit of 450 million yuan to 550 million yuan, and its net profit will increase by more than 50% compared with the same period last year; China Express Airlines expects to turn losses into profits, and its net profit is expected to be 22 million yuan to 32 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 102.92% to 104.25%.
