Red Net Time News August 17th(Reporter Zhou Yumo, Correspondent Liu Qian) From August 17th to 18th, the "I want to participate in the National Games, National Fitness and Vitality of China" 2024 National East, West, South, North and Central Badminton Competition Hunan Changsha Regional Competition was held at the Changsha Yuxing Park Badminton Hall. Nearly 700 amateur masters from all over the country gathered in the Star City for a fierce battle.
On the morning of the 17th, Feng Pingshan, Treasurer and Executive Vice Secretary-General of the Chinese Badminton Association, Luo Yuelong, Deputy Director of the Hunan Provincial Sports Bureau, and Li Gui, former first-level inspector of the Hunan Provincial Sports Bureau and honorary vice chairman of the Hunan Badminton Association, attended the opening ceremony.

There will be a total of 8 regional tournaments for the 2024 National East, West, South, North and Central Badminton Championships, which will be held in Dongguan, Guangdong, Xiongan New Area, Shanghai, Nanping, Fujian, Chengdu, Sichuan, Lanzhou, Gansu, Changsha, Hunan and Zhengzhou, Henan. The final will be held in Ningbo, Zhejiang from October 19 to 20 this year.
The competition includes five events: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles. The competition is divided into seven groups according to age, namely Group A (16-24 years old), Group B (25-34 years old), Group C (35-44 years old), Group D (45-49 years old), Group E (50-54 years old), Group F (55-59 years old) and Group G (60-64 years old).

Red Net Sports reporter learned from the organizing committee that after the registration channel for the Changsha competition was opened, it attracted more than 700 contestants to sign up within five days. Some registered through clubs or associations, while others registered in their personal names, demonstrating the public's enthusiasm for badminton.
The National East, West, South, North and Central Badminton Championship is a national fitness badminton event established by the Chinese Badminton Association for amateur badminton enthusiasts. Since its establishment in 1998, the scale of the event has developed rapidly and has become the largest and highest-level mass badminton event in the country. It has become a national fitness brand event hosted by the Chinese Badminton Association.
