2024 Cross-Strait National Baseball and Softball League Ordos Station kicks off

China Youth Daily Client, Beijing, August 17 (China Youth Daily, China Youth Network reporter Ci Xin) This morning, the 2024 Cross-Strait National Baseball and Softball League Ordos Station kicked off. A total of 16 baseball and softball teams from both sides of the Taiwan Straits, with nearly 300 athletes, participated in the competition and exchange. The event was themed "Strait United, Warm City Together", aiming to further enhance the understanding and friendship between compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait through folk sports competitions and visits and exchanges, and to jointly feel "One Family on Both Sides of the Taiwan Strait".

As one of the series of activities for the 20th anniversary of Kangbashi's development and construction, this competition carries the important mission of showcasing the beautiful image of the "Warm City". With warm hospitality, it allows more people to understand and appreciate the local customs and unique charm through the window of cross-strait exchanges.
The event is guided by the Exchange Bureau of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the People's Government of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, hosted by the Cross-Strait Baseball Exchange and Cooperation Committee, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the People's Government of Ordos City, and the People's Government of Kangbashi District, and co-organized by many units and departments. The competition and exchange activities will last for 5 days.
