CCTV News:Yuzhu Peak, the highest peak in the eastern section of Kunlun Mountains, is a professional entry-level mountaineering site with an altitude of more than 6,000 meters in the world. It is a good training ground for mountaineering enthusiasts to climb snow-capped mountains for the first time. Recently, more than 60 outdoor mountaineering enthusiasts from all over the country gathered in Yuzhu Peak Mountaineering Town to charge to the summit.

CCTV reporter Wang Shuo introduced that there are generally two routes to climb the Yuzhu Peak, which is 6,178 meters above sea level, namely the south slope and the north slope. He was on the south slope route located in Qumalai County, Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province. From a distance, the south slope of the mountain has become a steamed bun shape due to wind erosion, with a gentle slope and a clearer path. Therefore, many mountaineering enthusiasts will choose this mountain as their first snow mountain to climb.

With the rise of mountaineering fever, the local area has also held special folk performances, turning "cold resources" into "hot industries" and attracting tourists from all over the country to check in here. In Qumalai County at the foot of Yuzhu Peak, a wonderful "Polar Music Evening" is being staged, accompanied by equestrian performances, Tibetan songs and dances and other activities, allowing tourists to experience the local ethnic customs. It is understood that in 2023, a total of more than 1,900 tourists and mountaineering enthusiasts came here, bringing more than 2 million yuan in revenue to the local area.
