The children's singing was clear and pleasant, full of vigor and vitality, announcing the ambitions and dreams of the young people of the new era.
It is reported that in 2024, Putuo District's love summer care classes for primary school students will be held for 2 sessions, each lasting 3 weeks, with 27 classes opened in 10 classes, serving more than 1,800 students. During the classes, each class carried out a variety of special activities, strictly implemented safety management requirements, and ensured that the children spent a happy and meaningful summer vacation.
Covering the whole district, summer care classes are expanding enrollment
The classes continue to cover all the streets and towns in the district. The maximum number of students in each class has increased from 30 last year to 35. The number of students participating in summer care classes in the district this year has increased by about 17% compared with last year. At the same time, the special class has been expanded from last year's special class for children of newly employed groups to special classes for children of urban builders and managers in the new era, and the source of students has been expanded from children of newly employed groups to children of newly employed, construction industry, property, sanitation and other groups. Some residential villages and parks have piloted summer camps for primary school students in accordance with the love summer care class model to help young families effectively solve the problem of difficult care for primary school students during the summer vacation.
Diverse activities to brighten up your holiday
The city and district uniformly distribute more than 2,000 hours of red education, intangible cultural heritage experience, scientific and creative experiments, quality development and other activities to each class. The District Market Supervision Bureau, District Greening and Urban Appearance Bureau, District National Sports Bureau, District Federation of Trade Unions, administrative law enforcement teams of various streets and towns and other government agencies carry out publicity and education on garbage classification, elevator safety, civilized city creation, and labor movement history in combination with their functional work. Regional team building units such as Poker City, Rural Commercial Bank, and Municipal Security Group have delivered novel and popular special activities such as game co-creation workshops, young financiers, and drone experiences to each class, making the summer care classes both interesting and meaningful.
Careful care, all-round protection of summer safety
We have equipped class teachers and volunteers, and each class site has selected key teachers to serve as class teachers. A total of about 1,200 college and high school student volunteers have participated in the service, assisting in daily management, organizing activities, distributing lunches, and tidying up classrooms. Each site has been assigned a volunteer with experience in summer care classes to lead the team. In accordance with the requirements of the city-level guidelines on improving catering quality, under the guidance and supervision of the market supervision department, we have selected qualified catering companies and reasonably matched student lunch meals to ensure that children eat healthily, safely, and well.
