On the evening of August 15, the 2024 National "Good Boys and Girls of the New Era" Advanced Deeds Release Ceremony was held in Nantong, Jiangsu. Zhou Yanbo, a Tujia boy from Hefei City, Anhui Province, was selected.
Zhou Yanbo is a sixth-grade student at the Hefei Normal University Attached Primary School. He comes from a multi-ethnic family, and his relatives include both Han, Tujia and Miao. Under the influence of his family, the concept of national unity and family gradually took root in the heart of this little "pomegranate seed". In order to promote national culture and tell the story of national unity to the best of his ability, Zhou Yanbo has been on-site at the Anhui Innovation Hall and the Hefei Crossing the Yangtze River Memorial Hall for a long time, and has participated in red lectures at all levels across the country many times, with a total of more than 50 voluntary lectures and an audience of more than 5,000 people. In 2023, Zhou Yanbo was named the National Youth League Central Committee's "Green Cavalry" for National Unity Lectures.

Zhou Yanbo's hometown is located in Youyang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County, Chongqing. During festivals, he always goes back to his hometown with his parents to visit relatives. Zhou Yanbo is deeply touched by the charm of the collision of different nationalities and cultures. When he returns to school, he uses his spare time to dress in the distinctive costumes of his hometown to share his experiences of returning home with his classmates and tell stories of national unity.

In order to let students understand the ethnic culture and art of the Tujia people more concretely, he specially collected various patterns of the hand-woven brocade "Xilankapu" of the older generation of the Tujia people, and explained in detail the production methods and the meanings of different patterns. Zhou Yanbo also specially learned the Tujia people's waving dance, and used it as a break exercise with his classmates during the break. The video he recorded was also played on the school TV station and in each class. The students were deeply attracted by the unique ethnic culture.
In 2023, Zhou Yanbo was named the national "Young Cavalry" for ethnic unity propaganda by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, and participated in a nearly one-month learning and exchange activity for outstanding national minority youth representatives.
Nearly a month of learning and exchanges has allowed Zhou Yanbo to grow rapidly. He brought the spirit of diligent study and research into his lectures, carefully consulted materials, designed movements, conceived speeches, and carefully discovered vivid examples of ethnic unity around him. In the manuscripts, there are rich activities such as Anhui Province's "One million Xinjiang children of all ethnic groups and mainland children hand in hand in letters" and "Anhui-Xinjiang children hand in hand emotional practice summer camp", and there are pairing stories between the Hefei Normal University Affiliated Primary School Brigade and the Xinjiang Pishan County No. 1 Primary School Brigade. The vivid examples deeply touched the representatives and experts. Zhou Yanbo's lecture manuscript was rated as a selected manuscript by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League. There are only 35 manuscripts in the country. The experts commented: "Student Zhou Yanbo, your lecture is rich in content, full of emotion, and kind in language. I believe that you, who have love in your heart, can not only be an excellent little lecturer, but also be able to contribute your own strength to national unity and cultural confidence with practical actions!"

Afterwards, he gave lectures many times in Anhui Province's "Deeply Study the Spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and Strengthen National Unity" theme propaganda activity and the provincial Young Pioneers' Founding Day commemoration activities, helping more young people to deeply study the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and forge a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation.

In order to be a "torchbearer" of cultural confidence, Zhou Yanbo actively contacted his relatives and friends in his hometown of Chongqing during the winter and summer vacations, telling them about his own experience in propaganda and encouraging them to be little messengers of the national unity policy. After being inspired by him, his friends in his hometown also carried out propaganda in the community and class, contributing their own strength to national unity.
