"Pomegranate seeds are one family, ethnic groups are united and connected heart to heart, hugging each other tightly and never separating..." On the stage, young people representatives from 82 schools and 18 ethnic groups across the region dressed in gorgeous ethnic costumes and performed the song "Pomegranate Seeds are One Family" together, which was like a vivid ethnic painting.
On the afternoon of August 15, the closing ceremony of the "Growth in Progress - Seeds and Jiading Parents" Jiading District Youth National Unity Summer Camp was held at the Jiading District Youth Activity Center. Multi-ethnic students from primary and secondary schools and full-time schools in Jiading District gathered together to showcase their learning achievements during the summer camp.
The Korean and Dong boys passionately recited "Song of the Wine", which fully interpreted Li Bai's boldness and unruliness; the Yi girl's Guzheng solo "The Sun is Red on Jinggang Mountain" made people feel as if they were on the red hot land; the playful and cute dance "Pretty Red Fox" showed the agility and liveliness of the Manchu girl... The talent shows with different styles were a feast for the eyes of the audience. "It's very exciting! It allowed me to feel the charm of different ethnic groups up close." During the three-day Youth National Unity Summer Camp, the campers learned knowledge, experienced culture, and improved their skills, which not only enhanced mutual trust, but also exercised their leadership and teamwork spirit as young masters. During the period, each team established the theme of "Red Scarf Conference Hall" through observation of life and brainstorming, and some teams also presented on site.
The team of Manchu student Shan Jiayuan proposed a proposal with the theme of "Building a base for ethnic integration cultural activities in the youth activity center". They suggested arranging the cultural environment and atmosphere of each ethnic group in the base, and at the same time opening multi-ethnic knowledge lectures, exhibitions or public welfare courses to promote exchanges and integration among young people of all ethnic groups.
Shan Jiayuan also expressed her expectation that the base will hold more ethnic unity and development activities in the future. "For example, in this summer camp, the team members chatted with each other and explained each other's doubts. The team members from different nationalities were able to connect more closely. In just a few days, it was fulfilling and happy!"
It is reported that the "Growth in Progress - Zi Zi - Jiading District Youth National Unity Summer Camp" is jointly organized by the District Education Bureau, the District Youth League Committee, and the District Youth Work Committee. It aims to deepen young people's profound understanding of the diverse and unified structure of the Chinese nation through national unity expansion activities, strengthen respect and recognition of the cultures of all ethnic groups, and promote the lasting development of spiritual exchanges and friendship among young people of all ethnic groups.
