"Over the past six months, I have been living with the villagers every day, and I have come to consider myself a villager of Xiyuan Village." On August 15, at a symposium on the pairing and assistance between Beijing Capital Railway Investment Co., Ltd. and Xiyuan Village in Da'anshan Township, Fangshan District, Shi Bo, the first secretary of Beijing Capital Railway Investment Co., Ltd. stationed in Xiyuan Village in Da'anshan Township, Fangshan District, recounted his feelings about his eight months in the village.
Xiyuan Village in Da'anshan Township, Fangshan District is located on a mountainside at an altitude of 1,000 meters. Most of the houses are built on the mountain and scattered among the mountains. Walking into Xiyuan Village, you will see flat asphalt roads running through the mountain terraces, with a new scene at every step.
Shi Bo introduced that in order to better promote rural revitalization and assist in the post-disaster reconstruction of Xiyuan Village, Da'anshan Township, Fangshan District, he was sent to Xiyuan Village as the first secretary 8 months ago. During his stay in the village, he gained a deeper understanding of Xiyuan Village and was attracted by the beautiful scenery, fresh air and simple folk customs here.
"Since I arrived in the village, I have always hoped to live up to the company's trust and do something for the village." Shi Bo visited the village and collected public opinion. He found that the problem reflected by the villagers was mainly "difficulty in getting water". Shi Bo then reported the situation. After fully communicating with the village committee, Beijing Capital Railway Corporation donated 200,000 yuan to purchase water trucks to solve the villagers' drinking water problem. On the day of the symposium, the water truck drove into the village.
Since entering the main flood season in July 2024, Fangshan District has experienced many heavy rainfalls. Before the rains came, Shi Bo would work with the village committee to guide villagers to seek shelter in time by visiting relatives and friends, or by centralized resettlement, by visiting villages and households, and by making phone calls. At the same time, he would ensure the living security of the relocated personnel and build a strong flood prevention barrier for the village. During festivals, he would also go to the villagers' homes with his colleagues, carrying large and small bags of gifts.
The reporter learned that in order to better assist the development of Xiyuan Village, Beijing Capital Railway Investment Co., Ltd. also leased 16 acres of collective land in the village at a price of 100,000 yuan per year, and helped contact the municipal seed station to purchase high-quality fresh corn and vegetable seeds, in order to promote the development of the village collective economy through crop planting.
Ma Xiaofang, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Beijing Capital Railway Corporation, said that the railway company will continue to combine the actual situation of Xiyuan Village and the railway company, and make tangible contributions to the development of Xiyuan with heart, emotion and strength. At the same time, he encouraged the first secretary stationed in the village to learn more about the people's sentiments and opinions, play a good role as a bridge and link, do practical and good things for the village, and better perform the duties of the first secretary.
