On August 13, the "2024 Beijing Internet Enterprise Red Homeland Tour" event was held in Xinjiang, hosted by the Beijing Municipal Party Committee Cyberspace Affairs Office and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Party Committee Cyberspace Affairs Office, and co-organized by the Capital Internet Association and the Xinjiang Internet Federation. More than 60 people from 28 key Internet companies including JD.com, Meituan, Kuaishou, Baidu, Tencent, and Huawei participated. On the afternoon of the 14th, the event held a symposium in Urumqi on "Beijing and Xinjiang Join Hands to Gather in Xinjiang" to help Beijing Internet companies help Xinjiang's high-quality development.

Yu Junsheng, Deputy Secretary General of Beijing Municipal Committee, Deputy Minister of Publicity Department, and Director of Municipal Government Information Office, delivered a speech, Zhao Jiangtao, Executive Deputy Minister of Publicity Department of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Party Committee, delivered a welcome speech, Zhang Jun, Director of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Party Committee Cyberspace Affairs Office, presided over the meeting, and Zhang Jinlin, Director of Beijing Municipal Party Committee Cyberspace Affairs Office, attended. The guests discussed their intentions, linked resources, and jointly explored new opportunities for cooperation between Beijing and Xinjiang.
At the meeting, relevant responsible persons from the Autonomous Region's Department of Industry and Information Technology, Department of Commerce, Department of Culture and Tourism, Digital Development Bureau, Corps Party Committee's Cyberspace Affairs Office, Urumqi City, and representatives of Beijing Internet companies such as JD.com, Kuaishou, Meituan, iQiyi, Qunar, Dongfangzhenxuan, Alibaba Entertainment, and Qi'anxin made exchanges. The Capital Internet Association and the Xinjiang Internet Federation signed a co-construction and cooperation framework agreement to further promote cooperation between Beijing and Xinjiang in highlighting co-construction and sharing, deepening connectivity, and accelerating the cultivation and development of new quality productivity, so as to better assist the high-quality economic and social development of Beijing and Xinjiang.
