Zhitong Finance APP learned that Meta Platforms (META.US)'s new social platform Threads has launched some new features, saying that these new features will make the social platform more useful for businesses and digital creators.
Meta said in a blog post Thursday that Threads users can now view data, insights into post metrics and follower statistics, and write multiple drafts of posts. The company will also launch a feature that allows users to schedule multiple posts a few days in advance. These feature updates will first be added to Threads' web platform and will eventually be launched on the mobile app.
Meta, a competitor to X, aims to attract more users with better tools. The new features are especially likely to appeal to creators and businesses, since they rely on detailed demographics and user engagement. "We want Threads to be a place to spark conversation and help people, businesses, and creators connect around their interests," the company said in a blog post. "We're constantly improving Threads to solve the biggest pain points people face."
Data shows that as of August this year, Threads has more than 200 million monthly active users. Although the user growth rate of Threads is not as rapid as when it was first released, it still maintains a steady growth trend. A Meta employee revealed that most of Threads' growth still comes from promotion within Instagram, and the two applications share the same account system. Currently, Threads is still financially unprofitable, and Meta executives are said to be considering introducing an advertising system on Threads "sometime next year."
