Geng Shuang said that China welcomes the recent agreement between the Yemeni government and the Houthi armed forces on financial and aviation issues. Geng Shuang stressed that the situation in Yemen and the Red Sea is closely related to the conflict in Gaza. It has been difficult to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, and the negative spillover effects have exacerbated regional unrest.China urges the early implementation of Security Council Resolutions 2712, 2720, 2728 and 2735, an immediate and lasting ceasefire in Gaza, and an early de-escalation of tensions in the region, including in Yemen and the Red Sea.China is willing to continue to work with the international community to make efforts for a political solution to the Yemen issue, restore regional peace and stability, and achieve long-term peace and stability in the Middle East.
