According to reports, Koryo Travel Agency issued a statement on the 14th saying, "We have received confirmation from local partners that tourism in Samjiyon and other parts of North Korea will officially resume in December 2024." The statement added that the itinerary and further details will be finalized "in the next few weeks."
The travel agency also said that the specific date for the resumption of tourism has yet to be confirmed. "So far, only Samjiyon has been mentioned, but we think Pyongyang and other places will also open."

"Our initial response has certainly been positive. It's been a long wait," said Simon Cockrell, managing director of Koryo Travel. "Demand has been strong during the closure of North Korea, so I expect (business) to bounce back significantly."
As of now, there has been no official response from North Korea.
