This year's Cologne Game Show will be officially held on August 21, 2024.
According to information released by the organizers, this year's exhibition will set a new record compared with previous years, with a 10% increase in exhibitors from more than 60 countries and regions, and the exhibition venue exceeding 230,000 square meters.
Although Sony and Nintendo have confirmed that they will not participate in this year's Cologne Games Show, major domestic and foreign game companies such as Tencent, miHoYo, Microsoft, Capcom, and Ubisoft are still participating. According to the author's statistics, as of August 13, 28 game companies have announced hundreds of games for the exhibition.

Tencent
Tencent Games' overseas distribution brand Level Infinite will exhibit more than ten games at the Cologne Games Show. In the exhibition area, players can experience the trial play of "DeathSprint 66", "Den of Wolves", "Dune: Awakening", "Exoborne", "Parcel Corps", "Rise of the Night Clan", and "Goddess of Victory: Nikki". The official will also share the latest development progress of games such as "Dune: Awakening" and "Rise of the Night Clan" at the booth.
In addition, the Level Infinite "Leap into Infinity" press conference will be held in the early morning of August 22nd, Beijing time.
miHoYo
MiHoYo's overseas publishing brand HoYoverse brought the "Genshin Impact》《Collapse: Skyrail》 and the recently launched "Zero Zone". The miHoYo booth will be divided into three parts: performance, peripheral sales and on-site experience. The performance content will include live performances by bands and Cosplayers, as well as the Seven Sages Summoning Competition.
Considering that "Genshin Impact" will hold a special preview program for version 5.0 on August 16 before the Cologne Game Show, and there are reports that the trailer of the "Genshin Impact" animation will be released to the public for the first time, the Cologne Game Show may provide a trial of the "Genshin Impact" version 5.0 content and news related to the animation.
Eagle Point Network
GRYPHLINE, the overseas publishing brand of Hypergryph Network, will exhibit "Arknights: The End" and "PomPom" at the Cologne Games Show and provide on-site trials. "Arknights: The End" was technically tested in November 2023 and is expected to be launched on mobile, PC and PS platforms; "PomPom" is a buyout game, and new levels were exposed at this year's ChinaJoy. According to the author's on-site trial, the difficulty of two-player is not high, but it is very easy to cause "high blood pressure".
Microsoft
Microsoft officially announced that this year's Cologne Games Show is "our largest booth ever." Microsoft will exhibit works from Xbox, Blizzard, Bethesda, and other three-party partners, with more than 50 games on display.
The first-party games available for trial at the site include Age of Mythology: Retold, ARA: The Untold History, Fallout 76: Milestone Zero, The Elder Scrolls Online: The Golden Road, and Towerborne. In addition, Microsoft will also hold exclusive performances of Indiana Jones: The Ancient Circle, The Oath, and the Starfield DLC "Broken Space".
At this year's Cologne Game Show, Blizzard joined the Microsoft booth for the first time, exhibiting games including "World of Warcraft"Overwatch" and "Diablo》, etc. It is worth noting that Overwatch will work with Porsche to build a booth to display a D.Va statue based on the Porsche electric Macan.
Capcom
Capcom's lineup at this year's Gamescom includes five games: "Monster Hunter: Wildlands", "Street Fighter 6", "Ace Attorney 1&2 Edgeworth Collection", "Only: The Path of the Goddess" and "Monster Hunter Now". The most eye-catching of these is the first trial of "Monster Hunter: Wildlands" available to players. Capcom officially announced that it will provide more than 60 trial seats for "Monster Hunter: Wildlands" at the booth, covering an area of more than 900 square meters. At the same time, series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and executive director Kaname Fujioka will also attend the event during the exhibition and announce the latest information of "Monster Hunter: Wildlands" at the Capcom booth.
Ubisoft
Ubisoft's games at this year's Cologne Games Show are "Star Wars: Desperadoes" and "Assassin's Creed: Shadow", which are presented in the form of theme exhibition areas. In "Star Wars: Desperadoes", Ubisoft has set up 100 trial seats, and even provides trial seats suitable for wheelchair users and Xbox barrier-free controllers. "Assassin's Creed: Shadow" will be displayed in a small theater that can accommodate 400 spectators.

KRAFTON
At the Cologne Games Show’s “Opening Night” event, KRAFTON will debut the latest trailers and news for “Get Darker Mobile” and “InZOl”.
"Getting Darker Mobile" was first unveiled at G-Star 2023, combining the survival elements of battle royale games, the exploration elements of dungeon crawler games, and the iconic elements of RPG games. "InZOl" is developed with the Unreal 5 engine and is known as the "Korean version of The Sims". It is currently available on the Steam page, and the release date has not yet been disclosed.
Sega
Sega will exhibit three games at this year's Cologne Game Show. In addition to "Sonic x Shadow Generation Reboot" and "ReFantazio", which will be available for trial in Europe for the first time, there is also an undisclosed new project.
In addition to game trials, the Sega booth will also display a giant explorer statue from ReFantazio and Sonic's customized Shadow motorcycle.
Bandai Namco
At this year's Cologne Games Show, Bandai Namco will offer trials for three games: Dragon Ball: Lightning Blast Zero, Unknown Nine: Awakening, and Little Nightmares 3. These three games are scheduled to be released in October this year, this fall, and in 2025, respectively.
Square Enix
One month after the release of the "Golden Legacy" expansion pack of "Final Fantasy 14", Square Enix will exhibit "Final Fantasy 14" at the Cologne Games Show. According to the configuration files of "Final Fantasy 16" and its demo version found by overseas bloggers in NVIDIA's latest driver, the PC version of "Final Fantasy 16" may be announced at the Cologne Games Show.
