Guangzhou Olympic Middle School Zhigu Campus
On August 10, Guangzhou Olympic Middle School Zhigu Campus held its first open day for students and parents. The school's latest progress was presented to the public in a more intuitive way.
The Zhigu Campus of Guangzhou Olympic Middle School is located at the intersection of Tiankun 3rd Road and Jianming 3rd Road in the Guangdan area. It covers an area of 20,564 square meters, with a construction area of 39,431 square meters. It is planned to have 45 classes (30 primary school classes and 15 junior high school classes), providing a total of 2,100 places.
The campus is well-equipped with standard classrooms, including 45 ordinary classrooms and 5 mobile classrooms, each with an area of 75 square meters, which meets the city's standards. There are 39 special classrooms.
The main supporting facilities include two teaching buildings, an administrative building, a canteen and a gymnasium. The first floor of the gymnasium is used as a 25-meter 4-lane swimming pool, two overhead basketball courts and a canteen, and the second floor roof is a 200-meter sports field. The project has 5 floors above ground (partially 1 floor) and 1 underground floor. There is also a multi-functional hall that can accommodate 430 people. In terms of the canteen, the kitchen is 500 square meters and the restaurant is 1,000 square meters, which can accommodate 700 people at the same time. The basement has a construction area of 11,395 square meters, mainly underground garages (191 motor vehicle spaces) and equipment rooms.
Guangzhou Zhihong School
On August 12, Guangzhou Zhihong School held its opening ceremony.
It is understood that Guangzhou Zhihong School is a high-end private school with a nine-year boarding system. The school is located on Nanpu Island, adjacent to Nanpu Station of Metro Line 2 (about 100 meters) to the south. It has 1,680 places, including 1,200 for primary school and 480 for junior high school. It will officially open in September this year.
The school is equipped with a classroom for each class, as well as computer classrooms, science classrooms, art classrooms, calligraphy classrooms, dance classrooms, music classrooms, etc.; library, physics laboratory, chemistry laboratory, biology laboratory, health room, archive room, finance room, psychological counseling room, party and league activity room, broadcasting room, Young Pioneers activity room and other teaching and auxiliary rooms.
It is equipped with toilets and canteens that meet safety and sanitation standards, as well as a constant temperature swimming pool, real ice skating hall, pottery hall, indoor gymnasium, performance hall, rock climbing wall and other special function rooms that enable children to develop in an all-round way. There are sufficient rooms to meet the needs of education and teaching.
Guided by the school motto of "Ambition and Knowledge", the school is committed to cultivating compound talents with a strong sense of patriotism and an international perspective. In terms of curriculum, it consists of national curriculum, local curriculum and school-based curriculum. The local curriculum and school-based curriculum are integrated and implemented to break the boundaries between disciplines and construct the school-based curriculum "Honghao" curriculum, including two major curriculum groups of "Hongzhi" and "Haoshi".
