On August 10, in the roaring UHV workshop, Gao Peng, the foreman of the coil process of the "110kV new production line", was leaning over a precision machine tool with a focused and ardent look in his eyes. The coil in his hand seemed to be an extension of his faith, and each coil was wrapped with the ultimate pursuit of quality.
In 2007, Gao Peng graduated from Xi'an Technician College and was assigned to work in the coil workshop of Xi'an Xidian Transformer Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Xidian Xibian"). Over the years, with his persistent pursuit of work, he has not only grown from a winding worker to a senior technician in the winding field and a "professional technical innovation expert of central enterprises", but also won the title of "Shaanxi Provincial Technical Expert".
Study hard and improve yourself comprehensively
Gao Peng has been working in transformer coil winding for seventeen years. When he first joined the company, he humbly asked his master and colleagues for advice, constantly honing and improving his operating skills. After years of hard work, he has accumulated rich experience in coil winding, and has conducted in-depth research on relevant process theories, becoming an outstanding representative of mastering high-precision and cutting-edge product coil winding technology. Every coil he winds embodies the ultimate pursuit of product safety, reliability and efficient operation, and every process demonstrates the spirit of craftsmanship of excellence. From the "750kV" demonstration project to the "Shaanxi-0 Wuhan" ±800kV DC transmission project, to the "Nanchang-Changsha" 1000kV UHV AC project, Gao Peng has participated in the coil winding tasks of many national key engineering products, and contributed to the high-quality development of Xidian Xibian with his professionalism and perseverance.

In his spare time, he actively learned new knowledge and participated in various training courses organized by the company, learning knowledge in many fields such as production management, computers, wire welding, etc. He quickly absorbed and mastered the knowledge he learned like a sponge.
Overcoming difficulties and taking responsibility
In 2022, Gao Peng took on the important task of winding the 1 million-volt reactor coils for the "Nanchang-Changsha" 1000kV UHV AC project. This task is extremely delicate and has extremely high quality requirements. Any slight insulation damage or error may lead to product rework, test failure, or even direct scrapping.
In Gao Peng's mind, there is no such concept as "almost the same". "Almost the same" means "very different". He led the team members to strictly follow the "5S" on-site management and the "four things" concept to do every link carefully, strictly control the quality of raw materials of products from the source, carefully check the appearance, shape, size, cleanliness, etc., and record them in time and accurately. At the same time, he also improved the operation responsibility system and further clarified the responsibilities of positions and individuals.
Gao Peng pursues excellence and strictly controls every detail. During the winding process, he insists on self-inspection and mutual inspection, and never lets defective products flow into the next process. He is always busy shuttling in front of the machine, leading team members to give up rest, race against time, and constantly break records. In the end, they completed the coil winding task of this key project with quality and quantity, and the one-time test pass rate of the coils of this project reached 100%.
Take on the heavy responsibility and strive to improve production capacity
"He has a solid technical foundation, a strong work style, and a strong sense of responsibility." This is how his fellow workers evaluate him. As a team leader, Gao Peng has set a good example.
In May 2023, Xidian Xibian established the "110kV new production line" in the ultra-high voltage workshop. Gao Peng took the initiative to lead the team members to shoulder this heavy responsibility with unity, fighting and persistence as their common belief.
The spirit of "unity" allows team members to work together like brothers and support each other to form a strong team force; the will of "fighting" encourages team members to devote themselves to production and pursue excellence; the attitude of "persistence" ensures that everyone will never give up in the face of difficulties and firmly believe that with the joint efforts of the team, all difficulties can be overcome and the goals can be achieved.
The excellent team culture inspired them to successfully complete the production tasks. Under the leadership of Gao Peng, the workers in the winding team of the ultra-high voltage workshop quickly adapted to the new production environment, devoted themselves to production with high morale, and were committed to improving production capacity.
Looking back on his 17 years of work, Gao Peng was filled with emotion: "I am grateful to the company for providing me with a platform to realize my life value and allowing me to have a passionate and regretless youth. I will also embark on a new journey of pursuing my dreams in an ordinary position, continue to write a new chapter of struggle, and contribute my own strength to the high-quality development of Xidian Xibian."
