CCTV News(News Broadcast): Data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology show that in the first half of this year, my country's small and medium-sized enterprises maintained stable economic operations, with the added value of industrial small and medium-sized enterprises above designated size increasing by 7.4% year-on-year. Among them, the development vitality of specialized, innovative and new small and medium-sized enterprises continued to increase, and the electricity consumption of specialized, innovative and new "little giants" increased by 9.3% year-on-year, and corporate production further rebounded and improved.

In the first half of the year, among the 31 major manufacturing industries, the total profits of small and medium-sized enterprises in 23 industries continued to grow, and the growth rate expanded by 6.5 percentage points compared with the first quarter. The equipment manufacturing industry and consumer goods manufacturing industry increased by 5.0% and 11.4% year-on-year respectively, and the growth rate further accelerated compared with the first quarter.

Judging from the sales situation, the domestic and foreign trade of small and medium-sized enterprises has maintained a recovery trend. Since the beginning of this year, the exports of small and medium-sized enterprises have generally remained prosperous. Among them, the export index in the second quarter was 52.8%, accelerating the expansion of overseas markets.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology stated that in the next step, it will increase policy support in promoting the specialized and innovative development of small and medium-sized enterprises, digital transformation, etc., cultivate a new batch of characteristic industrial clusters of small and medium-sized enterprises, build a high-quality and efficient public service system for small and medium-sized enterprises, and promote the continued steady improvement of the production and operation of small and medium-sized enterprises.
