Since the beginning of this year, the Guizhou Provincial Department of Civil Affairs has been focusing on providing living assistance, mobilizing and deploying, actively guiding, and highlighting key support to promote employment and entrepreneurship for college graduates and other young people.
Provide life assistance. Continue to include college students who face difficulties in basic life into the scope of temporary assistance, and effectively protect, accurately protect, and firmly guarantee the basic living bottom line of unemployed college students in difficulty. As of the end of July 2024, the province has implemented temporary assistance for 220 unemployed college graduates with difficulties in life.
Do a good job in mobilization and deployment. The "Notice of the Office of the Civil Affairs Department of Guizhou Province on Doing a Good Job in Social Organizations Assisting College Graduates in Employment in 2024" was issued to deploy social organizations to assist college graduates in employment. A proposal was issued to mobilize social organizations across the province to actively participate in assisting college graduates in employment. The provincial comprehensive party committee of social organizations made early arrangements and issued the "Key Points for Scoring Star Party Branches in 2024", which included provincial social organizations assisting college graduates in employment as one of the star party branch selection and assessment indicators for the party branches of affiliated social organizations in 2024, and promoted provincial social organizations and their member units to actively participate in assisting college graduates in employment services.
Active guidance at the provincial level. In collaboration with a number of provincial industry associations, we held special job fairs at Guizhou Medical University and Guizhou Institute of Technology, such as "Job Guides the Future, Youth Blooms", to help college graduates find jobs, providing more than 700 jobs and internships, and more than 160 college graduates have reached employment intentions. So far, we have helped more than 1,000 college graduates find jobs or internships.
Highlight key support.Strengthen communication and contact with 13 private colleges and universities, and do a good job in supporting policy implementation and matching employment supply and demand. Set up a work group to help college students find jobs, regularly summarize the employment situation of 46,437 graduates from private colleges and universities in 2024, and understand the actual employment of graduates in social organizations. Organize provincial employment promotion associations, vocational skills training schools and other social organizations in the human resources field to provide targeted employment services for college students in private colleges and universities.
